Leeds United forward Crysencio Summerville is attracting plenty of interest from the Premier League and beyond ahead of this summer, according to transfer news journalist Fabrizio Romano.

The talented 22-year-old has really caught the eye with his performances in the Championship, and it seems inevitable that he’ll earn a big move at some point, though it will be interesting to see if he’s ready to stay at Leeds for a bit longer if they earn promotion back to the Premier League at the end of this season, as expected.

Crysencio has been linked with Chelsea, among others, but speaking exclusively to CaughtOffside for his Daily Briefing column, Romano explained that he’s not aware of the Blues specifically making any effort to sign him.

However, it seems there is plenty of interest from Premier League clubs in the Netherlands Under-21 international, so this looks like one to watch in the weeks and months ahead.

“Despite rumours, I’m not aware of any contacts or negotiations over Crysencio Summerville at Leeds,” Romano said.

“There are really many clubs following and monitoring Crysencio in the Premier League and other leagues, so let’s see if Chelsea decide to join them, but I’m not aware of anything concrete on this at the moment.”

Leeds are currently third in the Championship, and could still be in contention for a place in the automatic promotion places as they’re just two points behind second-placed Ipswich Town.

Leeds went down last season, but, like Leicester City and Southampton, seem to be serious contenders to go straight back up this season, even if other teams are in the mix as well.

Summerville has been a key part of Daniel Farke’s side’s success, and it would be a huge blow for the club to lose him at this stage of his career, as his peak years should still be ahead of him.
