AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli is expected to make some changes to his starting line-up that will face Sassuolo compared to the team that beat Atletico Madrid in midweek.

According to this morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, Mike Maignan should return as the starting goalkeeper, while Alessandro Florenzi should get the nod at right-back with Simon Kjaer and Alessio Romagnoli at centre-back and Theo Hernandez on the left side of defence.

Ismael Bennacer and Tiemoue Bakayoko are expected to be the double pivot which is a double change from Tonali-Kessie on Wednesday, while Alexis Saelemaekers, Brahim Diaz and Rafael Leao should be the trident behind Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who will start given Olivier Giroud and Ante Rebic are both injured.

Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Maignan; Florenzi, Kjaer, Romagnoli, Hernandez; Bakayoko, Bennacer; Saelemaekers, Diaz, Leao; Ibrahimovic.

Probable Sassuolo XI (4-3-3): Consigli; Toljan, Chiriches, Ferrari, Rogerio; Frattesi, Lopez, Traore; Berardi, Scamacca, Raspadori.
