Liverpool standout Luis Díaz sees his name in the rumor mill, with reports linking him to Paris Saint-Germain and FC Barcelona. With the future of the Colombian a hot topic of discussion, transfer window specialist Fabrizio Romano provided an update on the matter.

A recent report from Spain notes that Díaz is open to a move to the Catalan side. According to the information from SPORT, manager Xavi Hernandez wants to improve up top after failing to keep Ousmane Dembelé

As a result, the 27-year-old is among the players he likes most in the market. However, even though the player might want a move to La Liga, Romano sees a transfer this summer as challenging, considering Barcelona’s financial situation.

“We’ve also had fresh rumors about Luis Diaz reportedly wanting to join from Liverpool,” Romano wrote in his column for CaughtOffside. “This is not what I’m hearing, though – Diaz is crucial player for Liverpool and also, for Barca to pay for a player like Diaz with their Financial Fair Play situation…I think that could be quite difficult.”

How much does Barcelona or any interested team have to cough up for the former FC Porto sensation, who’s under contract until 2027? A report states that the winger’s price tag stands at £75 million.
