Paris Saint-Germain wants to improve their midfield over the next couple of transfer windows. The capital club wants to rely less on Marco Verratti, who can either be suspended or injured for big UEFA Champions League matches.

Les Parisiens  were in the market for a midfielder to go along with the addition of Georginio Wijnaldum. PSG saw their name connected to Paul Pogba and Eduardo Camavinga; nonetheless, no move occurred.

However, it seems midfield is the top priority, and El Nacional  reports that PSG is one of the clubs expressing interest in midfielder Toni Kroos. Real Madrid is in the process of injecting some youth into their squad, which has them pursuing Kylian Mbappé.

Nonetheless, Los Blancos have slowly turned over the squad that won three straight UEFA Champions League trophies. This summer, Raphaël Varane left for Manchester United, and it wouldn’t come as a surprise if Kroos departs as he has one left on his contract after this season.

Kroos’ agent has requested time to analyze the proposals from abroad as Manchester City is reportedly another club eyeing the 31-year-old. PSG and Real Madrid did business together when the French giants landed Keylor Navas from the Spanish club.

Nevertheless, it will be interesting to see whether the Mbappé saga has stained that working relationship.
