Kylian Mbappé will reportedly join Real Madrid in a couple of months when his contract with Paris Saint-Germain expires in June. The 25-year-old would arrive in the Spanish capital as a free agent and would give up a lot of money from the Parisians in the process.

Although the Frenchman is leaving, he doesn’t want his departure to harm the capital club from a financial perspective. As a result, this would allow the Ligue 1 side to improve the team and compensate for his exit.

Nonetheless, how much money is Mbappé giving up at PSG to leave and join Real Madrid? Radio MARCA’s Ramón Álvarez de Mon reports that the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner will give up the following:

  • Mbappé forgives €89.6 million in loyalty bonuses and renewal bonus
  • Mbappé forgives €38.2 million in salaries this season

In total, de Mon notes that the forward could give up €127.8 million as he departs his hometown club. Nonetheless, this is the agreement Mbappé reached in August with PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi, who foresaw this type of sacrifice in the event of a non-extension.
