On Friday, Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappé informed everyone that he’ll be leaving the club after this season, with his contract expiring next month. With the Frenchman set to exit, one issue remains: what will happen to the bonuses?

In a video lasting over three minutes, the 25-year-old explained his plans to leave. He thanked everyone, admitted his mistakes, declared his affection for the club, and announced his move to tackle a fresh challenge.

With the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner leaving in a few weeks to join Real Madrid, could Mbappé be taking a significant sum from the Parisians to the Spanish capital?

According to L’Equipe, last summer, it was expected that Kylian Mbappé would forfeit a portion of his bonuses, estimated between €80 million and €100 million. However, there is still no agreement on this financial compensation.

After the UEFA Champions League final wraps up, it’s expected that the Frenchman will be unveiled as the club’s latest addition. Meanwhile, PSG will be on the hunt for a replacement for their soon-to-be star player.
