Following their elimination from the UEFA Champions League last week, details are surfacing regarding the future of Manchester City standout Bernardo Silva. The Portuguese player came close to departing last year but opted to stay with Pep Guardiola and his team for this season.

A recent report from Spain suggests that Silva is strongly inclined to depart Manchester City this summer, with FC Barcelona emerging as his preferred destination.

Further information from those who cover the Catalan side reveals that the 2023 Champions League winner sees himself playing for the Spanish side next season.

According to journalist Ferran Correas, Silva wants to join Barcelona this summer and is ‘crazy’ about becoming a Barça player. Additionally, the report notes that the veteran player believes his cycle at Manchester City is over, and he has a release clause of €58 million.

However, Barcelona face competition from PSG, who are also keen on landing Silva. Sporting advisor Luis Campos had the player while at AS Monaco, so it’s no surprise he wants a reunion. Le Parisien reports that PSG are set to reignite interest in Silva this summer.
