Last month, Gonçalo Ramos‘ name was linked to AC Milan as his agent reportedly is willing to offer the Portuguese goal scorer to replace Olivier Giroud, who appears to be joining Los Angeles FC. However, it seems Ramos isn’t ready to throw in the towel.

The former SL Benfica standout hasn’t been a regular starter as PSG’s No. 9, but he’s still scoring goals for the team. Ramos has appeared in 33 games across all competitions, recording 11 goals despite his inconsistent playing time.

Nonetheless, if given consistent playing time, Ramos will likely produce 20 or more goals in a season and he’s ready to do that for the Parisians next campaign.

Despite a challenging season, L’Equipe reports (h/t Le10 Sport) that the striker is convinced of being able to do better next season at PSG after a complete summer preparation with the capital club.

Furthermore, if Kylian Mbappé does leave, as many expect him to do and join Real Madrid, the goal-scoring responsibilities will open up. As a result, Ramos probably sees this as an opportunity to take advantage of and fill the Frenchman’s production.

It will be interesting to see how the Parisians navigate the situation and whether or not they decide to bring in a striker.
