Tottenham Hotspur are clinging to secure a top-four finish in the ongoing Premier League campaign.

Spurs find themselves just outside the Champions League spots, occupying the 5th position with 60 points.

They trail Aston Villa, who are in 4th place, by 6 points, albeit the Lilywhites have two games in hand.

The North London outfit faces a daunting challenge in finishing the season on a high note, given their tough fixtures.

Starting from Arsenal, who Tottenham will host on the upcoming Sunday.

The Gunners, currently topping the English top flight, are eager to maintain their lead, specially with Manchester City closely trailing by just a single point.

Clinton Morrison, the former Irish footballer turned pundit, provided insights into the upcoming North London derby.

Speaking on Premier League Productions, when asked to choose one Arsenal player he would select for Spurs, Morrison initially considered Martin Odegaard but ultimately opted for Declan Rice.

Rice completed his move to Emirates from West Ham last summer in a record-breaking €116.6 million deal, which is the 8th most expensive in history.

Since then, he’s been having a remarkable debut season, featuring in 97% of the club’s Premier League games. (Transfermarkt)

The defensive midfielder is involved in all three facets of the game, which likely influenced Morrison’s choice for Tottenham.

The pundit emphasises Rice’s defensive skills and qualities as a leader, which he believes Spurs currently lacks and could significantly benefit from, stating:

“Who is the one player from that Arsenal team you would steal and take to Spurs?

“I love Odegaard, but that’s tough, I’m going to go with Declan Rice. Just because I think in that Tottenham midfield he makes a big difference. I could’ve put Odegaard in. I’m not saying Maddison is on Odegaard’s level, but they have that kind of same player, but they miss a Declan Rice.”
