Queen Elizabeth sends 'good wishes' to England's soccer team ahead of Euro 2020 final

Queen Elizabeth is wishing the Three Lions her best ahead of the Euro 2020 final on Sunday.

The Queen of England shared a personal message to team manager Gareth Southgate, who helped lead England to its first tournament final since 1966.

England's national team will take on Italy in the Euro 2020 final at London's Wembley Stadium. They defeated Germany, Ukraine and Denmark to clinch a spot in the final round.

When the team advanced after beating Denmark in the semifinal on Wednesday, Prince William shared his own congratulatory message.

Prince William has been following the Euro 2020 tournament closely. He watched England's Round of 16 victory over Germany with his wife, Kate Middleton, and son, Prince George. He also was in attendance for the semifinal match against Denmark.

This is the second time England will play in the European Championship final, while Italy last won the tournament in 1968.
