It rarely happens that there is such drawn-out speculation regarding the signing of a player for the academy, but with Noah Raveyre it is perhaps easy to see why and AC Milan are reaping the rewards of geting the deal over the line.

Diego Sia was the one who scored the equaliser and Kevin Zeroli might have been the player to net the winning penalty during the UEFA Youth League last 16 win over Real Madrid yesterday, but Calciomercato.com sing the praises of Raveyre.

It is impossible not to mention the performance of the Frenchman who played another great match, providing some big saves in a first half where all of the resolve of Ignazio Abate’s side was tested.

Raveyre made a save after 20 minutes to deny Gonzalo, then he thwarted De Llanos, before saving Yanez’s spot kick during the shootout with an excellent stop.

Having arrived on a free transfer from Saint-Etienne during the 2023 summer transfer window, the 2005-born player signed a contract with the Rossoneri until 30 June 2028, being immediately put in the Primavera.

Milan tried to sign him as early as last January (with a small compensation fee to Saint-Etienne) but his presence in the first team discouraged the French club from selling, before they then allowed the player’s entourage to establish contacts with Milan.

It was during March and April, thanks to the work of the intermediary Luca Ariatti, that Milan had found a definitive agreement over a pre-contract making the deal official on last July.

Raveyre’s future is at Milan, with a specific project in mind: in the event that a second team is registered in Serie C, the management see him as an immovable starter before eventually progressing to the first team permanently.
