Real Betis attacker Aitor Ruibal was left disappointed after they were dumped out of the Europa Conference League.

A 1-1 draw at Dinamo Zagreb saw Betis lose their playoff 2-1 on aggregate.

Ruibal later said: "We really wanted to win today, to get through the tie. Everything started well, but we have been slowing down and we haven't played a good game. Shooting once is very complicated.

"The game was lost in the first leg. We have been more intense in the recovery but well...

"It hurts because they have shot you twice in two games and they have scored two goals . There is no choice but to raise your head, criticise yourself, thank the people who have come to support us, those who stayed there, we need them more than ever and we are very sorry."
