Real Betis sports chief Manu Fajardo has dismissed claims of tension with coach Manuel Pellegrini.

There's been reports in Pellegrini's homeland of Chile that the coach and Betis are reconsidering their future together.

However, Fajardo says there are no issues.

He said: "Well, yes, the truth is that it is a little surprising, but we are also aware that many times we do not have to give credibility to everything that is published."

Fajardo also says they hope Athletic Bilbao win the Copa del Rey final on Saturday against Sevilla as it will add a European place for next season.

He added: "Totally, I think that today all the teams that have a chance to compete in European competitions next season are a little more for Athletic Club de Bilbao."
