Real Betis winger Abde Eze is baffled by criticism of Barcelona coach Xavi.

Abde left Barca last year for Betis.

The winger has constantly kept an eye on his former club - and believes the criticism leveled at Xavi is too harsh.

"I don't understand the criticism. I think they have had a very good year. In La Liga they've been up there, and in the Champions League they've reached the quarter-finals, which they haven't done in years," he told AS.

"I think they have been unlucky. I am sure that it will go even better next season."

Eze has recently been linked with both AC Milan and Saudi Arabia. However, the winger is clear that he wants to stay at Real Betis.

"I really want to succeed at Betis, I do. And may next year be the best season of my life," concludes the Moroccan.
