Real Madrid look as if they may yet have crucial contributions from Eder Militao and Thibaut Courtois before the end of the season. Both suffered anterior cruciate ligament injuiries within three days of each other at the start of the season, but are nearing their returns.

Both Militao and Courtois have been seen doing parts of training sessions in the last week with the rest of the group, and the Brazilian is expected to be back around mid-April for Los Blancos. That could well be the case for the Belgian too.

According to Marca, the 27th of March, in three weeks time, has been as the date that Courtois will return to full training. He will then require multiple weeks of training before he is back in shape to return to the pitch.

Courtois would be coming back into a good situation. Andriy Lunin has proven to be a safe pair of hands, performing well in Courtois’ absence, and there has been no need to rush his return. Meanwhile Kepa Arrizabalaga is set to finish the season as third-choice before he returns to Chelsea, having arrived to occupy the number one spot.
