Real Madrid midfielder Brahim Diaz says they deserved more from their 1-1 draw with Atletico Madrid.

Brahim had Real 1-0 ahead before Marcos Llorente struck a late equaliser.

He said, "It was a bit hard to take at the end because they equalised in the last minute. We performed very well, we played very well and I think we dominated the whole game. You can't appreciate the great work we did today because of the draw. But this team is incredible and this will give us even more strength".

"We deserved to win. That's football and this draw makes us even stronger because we know what we're capable of. We have to carry on like this because we're playing at a very good level.

"I'm very appreciative of all the fans today. They got behind us, I'm very grateful for the warmth they always show us. I played well, I'm happy with the goal but I'm a little bit annoyed with the draw."
