Real Madrid president Florentino Perez will NOT be at the Nou Camp for Sunday's El Clasico against Barcelona.

El Mundo says unless there is a last-minute change, the president of Real Madrid, Florentino Prez, will not be in the box at the Spotify Camp Nou this Sunday night to watch the Clasico between his team and FC Barcelona.

This is Perez's response to Bara president Joan Laporta's decision to cancel the traditional pre-match meal, a decision that Laporta took last Monday after Real Madrid announced that it would be a private prosecutor in the case against FC Barcelona for the 'Negreira Case'.

The Real Madrid president's decision has caused surprise at Bara, who were expecting Florentino in the box, as although they recognise that relations between the two directors have cooled this week due to the 'Negreira case', a cordial meeting between the two was expected.

Perez has taken the decision to stay in Madrid because he believes that his team and himself will receive a very hostile reception from Bara fans and they believe it is not worth taking any risks.
