Ahead of the transfer window, AC Milan were rumoured to be interested in signing a midfielder, but their focus was mainly on another defender and a striker. Nevertheless, as has been commonly stated, January would be a window of opportunities, and the Rossoneri may have found one.

Even with the injury that Tommaso Pobega suffered, there was no feeling of desperation to add to the midfield ranks by Milan. However, there has recently been a new addition to their list of midfield targets.

Reports have suggested that the club are interested in Federico Redondo, the son of former midfielder Fernando. However, the Portuguese paper Record (via PianetaMilan) have reported that the Diavolo are interested in Zan Jevsenak, the ‘Slovenian Jewel’, who currently plays for Benfica’s B team.

The versatile 20-year-old midfielder could be available for around €1.3million, but it is yet to be seen if the Rossoneri will act now to get ahead of any competition or whether they will wait until the summer to make a potential move.
