There will be a number of departures to the Chelsea squad during the upcoming summer transfer window, but player's like Ruben Loftus-Cheek leaving the club will hurt a bit more than others.

Loftus-Cheek is a Cobham graduate and he may always be one of those players who without injuries could have been a world beater at the club. That does not mean he can't be one at another though.

AC Milan are hoping that's the case, and are close to agreeing personal terms with the player.

As reported by Fabrizio Romano, AC Milan are now close to agreeing personal terms with Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

Loftus-Cheek has been a player admired internally by AC Milan since the clubs played in the Champions League back in October, and they are now closing in on the player's signature.

The two clubs are in talks to try and reach an agreement over a transfer, and there is optimism and confidence on both sides that it's a deal that can definitely get done.

AC Milan are expected to pay a final fee of around €20million for Loftus-Cheek, and he will be one of the first names out the door at Chelsea this summer, but certainly not the last.

The club have been in contact with the player for around two weeks now and are closing in on an agreement. It's now a deal expected to happen unless another club attempts to hijack last minute.
