Paris Saint-Germain will return to action following the October international break with a Ligue 1 fixture against Angers. But the French powerhouse may be without two of its star players for the match.

As noted by RMC Sport, Messi and Neymar are not expected to feature against Angers due to commitments with their respective national teams.

Messi is slated to feature for the Argentina national team in its key 2022 World Cup qualifying matchup against Peru on Thursday. Neymar is also on par to tag along with the Brazilian national team for its showdown with Uruguay tomorrow.

As PSG’s home matchup against Angers will come on Friday, the side is not expected to have these talents available for the match.

This was the case last month when both forwards were not available for PSG’s league match against Clermont Foot following the September international break.

At the least, Messi and Neymar are on par to feature for PSG in its UEFA Champions League home group stage match against RB Leipzig next week.
