Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Ander Herrera is yet to feature in a single preseason fixture with the team this month.

Herrera has already joined up with PSG for its ongoing preseason schedule. However, as noted by Le Parisien, the Spanish midfielder is currently dealing with a notable calf injury.

This minor injury for Herrera is quite noteworthy considering that PSG will soon clash with reigning Ligue 1 winners Lille OSC in the upcoming 2021 Trophee des Champions Final.

PSG midfielders Marco Verratti and Leandro Paredes each may not feature in this match, as they each are currently enjoying a mini vacation after winning a major international tournament with their respect national teams.

More so, Rafinha is currently sidelined due to a slight muscle injury.

If Herrera will not be able to feature in the team’s upcoming final fixture against Lille, then PSG manager Mauricio Pochettino may have to go with a makeshift setup for the team’s midfield in the match.
