Paris Saint-Germain football advisor Luis Campos went all out over last year’s summer transfer window to bolster his team’s midfield depth. Among them, he signed Fabian Ruiz from Napoli and Carlos Soler from Valencia. The two midfielders could soon be on their way out of the club.

According to a report from L’Equipe, multiple PSG players will be closely scrutinized over the remainder of this season, including Ruiz and Soler. The two Spanish midfielders will be playing for their futures at PSG in the coming months.

Ruiz signed with PSG on a five-year contract deal last August. He is reportedly earning €9.090 million (gross) this season. On the other hand, Soler also put pen to paper on a five-year deal with PSG in the recent summer transfer window.

Ruiz has emerged as a go-to starter for PSG manager Christophe Galtier as of late. For one, he earned a start in each of PSG’s two UEFA Champions League round of 16 fixtures against Bayern Munich. Soler has been far from a regular starter for PSG, but he has provided depth to the team, including playing as a central attacking midfielder and wide midfielder in recent matches.

Ruiz and Soler could go on to feature in PSG’s upcoming Ligue 1 home fixture against Rennes on matchday 28.
