Inter Milan have reportedly identified three right wingbacks who could replace Denzel Dumfries if he ends up leaving the club.

The Nerazzurri are looking to keep their core intact for next season, but the Dutchman could be the exception.

This is due to the 28-year-old’s contract which will expire in 2025. The management hasn’t been able to make progress in the extension talks with his agents.

Hence, the Nerazzurri will be keen to sell the Netherlands international this summer to avoid the risk of losing his services for free a year later.

According to Tuttosport via FcInter1908, the club directors have three possible replacements on the shortlist.

The first is Atalanta’s Emil Holm. The Orobici signed the 23-year-old on loan from Spezia last summer and have the option to buy him at the end of the season for 8.3 million euros.

The source expects La Dea to complete the operation. Therefore, Inter would have to negotiate with the Bergamo-based club whom they share an excellent rapport with.

Atalanta could request 15 million euros to part ways with the Sweden international.

Holm, Sugawara & Kayode On Inter Milan Shortlist To Replace Denzel Dumfries

The second name on the list is Yukinari Sugawara who currently plies his trade at AZ Alkmaar. The Japanese isn’t as big and physical and Holm, but he makes up for it with speed and stamina.

The 23-year-old’s contract with the Dutch club will expire in 2025, so he could be available on a cut price.

The last name on the list is Fiorentina teenager Michael Kayode. The 19-year-old rose to prominence this season, taking his chance at Vincenzo Italiano’s court following Dodo’s injury.

The Italy U21 starlet would command a transfer fee between 15 and 20 million euros. His contract with the Viola is valid until June 2028.
