Newcastle United youngster Rodrigo Vilca made an appearance for the club's under-21s this week.

The Peruvian prospect had been on loan in his homeland for part of this season.

He is now back with the club with more than a year left on his Newcastle contract.

Vilca, who was signed in October 2020, will be hoping that he can at least show enough form to earn a deal elsewhere in the summer.

Chronicle Live states that even as he is integrated into the under-21s, he is unlikely to earn a new contract at Newcastle.

The club will not stand in his way if an offer arrives this month either.
