Paris Saint-Germain have announced that Sergio Ramos is not yet available to make his competitive debut for the club according to Fabrizio Romano. The Andalusian joined PSG on a free transfer from Real Madrid this past summer.

The French club also confirmed that Marco Verratti – their integral, intelligent midfield talisman – will be out for at least four weeks, missing a key Champions League tie with Leipzig. PSG will hope both players can return as soon as possible.

Ramos has suffered an injury-plagued 2021, losing his place in the Madrid starting lineup and left out of Luis Enrique’s La Roja’s squad for Euro 2020. Knowing his personality, he’ll be determined to get back as soon as possible to prove he still has what it takes to compete amongst the elite of the elite.

PSG are top of Ligue 1, seven points clear of second-placed Lens with nine wins, one draw and one defeat to their name. They’re also top of Champions League Group A, a point clear of second-placed Manchester City with three games played.
