Jose Mourinho’s Roma and Thiago Motta’s Bologna are ready to lay it all on the line and battle it out for a spot in the top four in their Sunday evening clash.

The match between the Rossoblu and the Giallorossi kicks off at 17.00 UK time at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara in Bologna.

Both clubs sit tied at fifth in the Serie A table with 25 points and a win for either would see them leapfrog Napoli to enter the top four spots.

Roma have not lost in Serie A in over six weeks and are keen to maintain pace in their quest to return to the Champions League.

The Giallorossi are without Chris Smalling, Houssem Aouar, Paulo Dybala and Tammy Abraham, all sidelined with injuries.

Bologna have quietly been one of the most in-form teams in Serie A this term, flying high under coach Thiago Motta. They’ve lost just twice in their first 15 league outings this season.

The Emilia-Romagna outfit cannot count on the injured Adama Soumaoro, Riccardo Orsolini and Jesper Karlsson.

Probable line-ups for Bologna vs Roma

Bologna (4-3-3): Skorupski; Posch, Beukema, Lucumi, Calafiori; Ferguson, Freuler, Aebischer; Saelemaekers, Zirkzee, Ndoye.

Roma (3-5-1-1): Rui Patricio; Mancini, Llorente, Ndicka; Kristensen, Cristante, Paredes, Renato Sanches, El Shaarawy; Pellegrini; Belotti.
