Nicolo Zaniolo is unlikely to join Aston Villa permanently in the summer.

Struggling to impress during his season-long loan in the Midlands, Galatasaary’s Zaniolo, 24, looks set to return to his parent club at the end of the campaign.

And according to a recent report from Fichajes, while the midfielder is also unlikely to continue in Turkey, his next club looks set to be back in his native Italy.

The 24-year-old is reportedly a target for a trio of Serie A clubs; Napoli, Fiorentina and 19-time league winners AC Milan.

The Rossenari are believed to be hot on the heels of the on-loan midfielder and would like to add him to their squad in time for next season.

And while negotiations with Galatasaray will prove decisive, Aston Villa’s impending withdrawal should make it easier for any interested club to prize the 24-year-old away from Turkey permanently.

Scoring just two goals in 27 games, in all competitions, it is understandable why Unai Emery is in no rush to sign the midfielder.
