Sevilla coach Quique Sanchez Flores was delighted with their 3-2 win against Real Sociedad on Saturday.

Youssef En-Nesyri (2) and Sergio Ramos struck for the hosts.

Sanchez Flores said: "We played against a Champions League opponent, a very good opponent. Marcelino said last week, before playing against them, that they are one of the teams that does everything best in each phase.

"They were a little down after falling out of the Cup, but they are a great team. Going well is always a fantastic dynamic to have a good first few minutes of games, connect with our fans, have them support us and accompany us during the game.

"Until 2-0 we were very good. We took a little step back and when we went forward again, that penalty came that made us go very close to the break. In the second half we came out quite well again, we were able to make more of a difference than two. In the end, despite the goal we conceded, we are happy with the game because we had many chances.

"It is the path that we all want, the Sevilla that the fans want to see and that we all want to see . A Sevilla that can win, that is not worse than the rival, that puts its leg in, that when it can play football plays football, and when you can run, let's run. A team that competes, which is what Sevilla has historically done all its life."
