Sevilla striker Alejo Veliz is ready for tomorrow's clash with Real Madrid.

On-loan from Tottenham, Veliz says he came close to joining Real as a teen.

He told AS: "Going to the Bernabu is something incredible. Going from playing there on the Playstation to doing it seriously... I will try to have fun, but with all the responsibility that comes with it. I will do my best.

"I think Sevilla are in a great moment, we have to take advantage of it to get the three points, no matter how difficult Real Madrid are.

"Yes, the newspapers wrote about it and some time ago my agent told me about Real Madrid's interest, but nothing materialised. It was the South American Under 20 period, I had only been in the First Division in Argentina for a short time and I wanted to continue playing in Rosario. Even after the Under 20 World Cup.

"I am a calm boy, I take things with patience and I believe in God a lot, it allows me to concentrate as best as possible on my path."
