England manager Gareth Southgate has admitted that he is watching one current Chelsea player in mind of a future international callup to his senior squad soon.

The Three Lions manager has been taking questions from the press this afternoon after naming his latest England squad.

EXCLUSIVE! Chelsea owners want UCL, is Pochettino safe? Toney is on Chelsea’s list and keen on the move, Lavia’s return, Palmer a leader, ‘Most likely’ plan for Stamford Bridge revealed, and much more….

There were no real surprises in the squad and Southgate is very much once again sticking with who he likes regardless of current form.

Players on the outside looking in might think it will be super tough to earn a callup into Southgate’s squad despite their good form, and Cole Palmer is one of them.

However, Southgate has admitted that he is watching the Chelsea attacker and he’s caught his eye of late with some good performances.

Personally I think Palmer is doing much more than just ‘starting to play well’ and certainly deserves a callup with very good recent form for Chelsea this season.
