Manchester City great Sergio Aguero says he could make a playing comeback.

Aguero's cardiologist has told the Argentine that tests are showing he's making great progress after suffering an on-field cardiac arrest with Barcelona almost three years ago.

Aguero played on his channel Twitch a recording from his cardiologist informing him of his exciting progress.

"I would tell you to get ready, that there is some hope you could say. You were doing very well, you have to put yourself in a good physical condition to be there for a few minutes. You are doing everything and you had nothing, we are going to control you. In short: is it possible? Yes, it is possible," the cardiologist told El Kun.

"We have to make you run as if it were the game, when you have the two centrals, you will have to make a fake and be well prepared."

A move to Independiente, where Carlos Tevez is in charge, has been mooted. Aguero has admitted in the past on his Twitch channel that the covid vaccine was the most likely reason for his heart problem.

Aguero has seen action in the indoor King's League over the past year.
