Celtic have the 13th highest average attendance in world football so far this season, according to statistics. The Scottish Champions are ahead of European and Spanish Champions Real Madrid as well as Pep Guardiola’s Man City. The figures are mightily impressive and represent what has been a constant over the last few years – the Celtic support.

It is no surprise that the Celtic support are turning up in their thousands with Ange Postecoglou’s team playing fast, energetic and exciting football. There is a waiting list for season ticket holders and the club boasts impressive figures for their average attendance. However, the club should continue to consider ways to maximise attendance using a ticket exchange programme if a supporter is unable to attend then the club can sell on their behalf.

Rangers, meanwhile, sit in 27th place with an average attendance of 49,125. It is impressive that two Scottish teams command impressive places in the world ranking for average attendance. However, these stats will likely be part of the consideration of any SPFL TV deal moving forward. Celtic are one of the most supported clubs in world football and that is evident in this list.
