Manchester United face another test away to Leicester City on Thursday night.

Erik ten Hag will want his side to gain momentum in the Premier League by winning their third match on the bounce after recent wins over Liverpool and Southampton.

Another victory would help push United closer to the top four, with Chelsea losing 2-1 against the Saints on Tuesday night and only Arsenal winning all their games thus far.

In his pre-Leicester press conference, Ten Hag confirmed that Antony Martial is still ruled out of action due to an injury, which means the manager has a decision to make in attack against The Foxes.

He added that Victor Lindelof has returned to training, but we don’t expect to see him in the starting line-up, with Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane forming a formidable partnership at the back.

“Victor Lindelof is training, we will see today how he is,” Ten Hag told reporters, as quoted by the Manchester Evening News. “Martial is not available.”

Anthony Martial out for Leicester City clash

It’s a real shame that Martial has not been able to continue his form from pre-season into the competitive games due to injuries.

This could see Marcus Rashford keep his place in the team, although I didn’t think he did enough to warrant a starting spot in the Southampton game. He needs to show as an option for his teammates in the final third, whereas he looked isolated throughout the game.

We could see Cristiano Ronaldo given a start.
