Celtic FC Women take on Spartans at Ainslie Park in Edinburgh this evening in what is a must win SWPL1 match for the Fran Alonso’s title challenging side.

The Celtic manager spoke from Celtic Park yesterday afternoon, previewing the match and providing various updates including the news that both Lisa Robertson and Amy Gallacher are available after both were suspended at the weekend in the 3-0 win over Aberdeen.

One Celtic player not involved this evening is Tiree Burchill who has gone out on loan to Motherwell for the rest of this season, where she will be much more likely to get valuable game time as SWPL1 level.

Spartans are one of the few sides that have caused Celtic problems over the past few years, with a costly 2-2 draw in the league campaign last season and this time around knocking then holders Celtic out of the League Cup aided by the worst refereeing decision of the season and that includes the VAR cheats from the Scottish Premiership.

Celtic will be looking to put things right this evening in the first meeting between the sides since that infamous afternoon last October.

Pamela Tajonar as usual this season will have the gloves for Celtic FC Women and she also spoke to Celtic TV from Paradise ahead of tonight’s SWPL1 match against Spartans…

Hail, Hail the Celts are Here…

The Celtic team this evening to take on Spartans is as follows:

Tajonar, Otto, O’Riordan, Ross, Gallacher, Shen, Chance, Clark (c), Hayes, Fergusson and Menglu.

And on the bench are Robertson, Jacynta, Kerner, Bowie. Cusack, Goldie, Ferns and Mcaneny.

Three points please, COYGIG!!!
