Sparks flew between the Lazio squad and their travelling fans after the tough 2-2 draw with Monza on Saturday.

Igor Tudor’s side took a 1-0 lead after just 11 minutes through Ciro Immobile before Milan Djuric found an equaliser in the 73rd minute, forcing the away side to push for another goal. They made things 2-1 just 10 minutes later through Matias Vecino, before Djuric netted a last-minute equaliser.

It was a supremely frustrating result for Tudor, who was clearly furious with his Lazio squad in his post-match press conference. The result could be fatal in the club’s fight for European qualification in the final weeks of this season.

As reported by Il Messaggero (via LazioNews24), Lazio went to greet their fans after the full time whistle, where sparks suddenly began to fly. The supporters demanded an explanation for the poor performance and result, causing frustration from some players.

Luis Alberto and Mateo Guendouzi were the least interested in the criticism, with the latter having an argument with a specific fan in the stands. Immobile tried to act as a peacemaker but he was unable to diffuse the tension.
