Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers is currently pushing the team towards a League and Cup Double as the squad face six (& potentially seven) cup finals over the next few weeks. After Rangers lost against Ross County on Sunday, the Scottish Champions retained a four point gap over the Ibrox side – who have a game in hand.

However, in a throwback that appeared on social media, the Celtic manager can be seen in 1991 in a Reading FC team photo. The Irishman is in the top row, sporting blonde hair.

Also in the photo is former Celtic striker Mark McGhee, who was the manager at Reading at that point. Unfortunately for Rodgers, his career was cut short by a knee condition. Brendan used this disappointment to forge his craft as a coach, working up the ranks through their academy.

Rodgers has shown his big game mentality at various points this season and recent media conferences show that he is relishing the title race. With his experience and quality, hopefully he and the team can lead us to another title and Scottish Cup.
