AC Milan will be well aware of the threat that Romelu Lukaku possesses, having been linked with him multiple times in recent years. However, there is a difference between knowing how to stop someone and stopping them, and the Rossoneri must ensure they do the latter, starting on Thursday evening.

The significance of a result on Thursday cannot be put into words, especially given how many things it could impact. A win could spur the side toward finishing the season as they have started 2024 – positively. Alternatively, a loss could halt progress and give Milan a mountain to climb at the Stadio Olimpico.

Earlier, a report claimed that the fixture could be decided on the wings. However, the Rossoneri are not the only side possessing dangerous players. Their opponents will look towards Romelu Lukaku to spearhead their successes at San Siro, report Corriere dello Sport (via PianetaMilan).

In recent weeks, his goalscoring record has been criticised, but he remains a substantial threat nonetheless, and one that the Rossoneri are well aware of, given he is the only player to have scored in five successive Derby della Madonninas.

Furthermore, he is Roma’s highest goalscorer in the Europa League, and given what is at stake for their season – potential European success and a Champions League spot still to fight for – Lukaku will want to prove his worth, especially with his future undecided.
