A new report provides the latest update on Drew McIntyre‘s contract status with WWE.

As previously reported, Drew McIntyre’s contract is set to expire after WWE WrestleMania 40. It had been set to come up sooner, but time was added to it after McIntyre was absent for a few months in 2023. Alex McCarthy previously wrote that talks between the two sides were ongoing.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider reports that the word is that Drew McIntyre has told those close to him that he still hasn’t locked in a new deal with the company. Per Johnson, the belief is that everyone is working under the understanding that a new deal will be struck. However, the word coming out of McIntyre’s camp is that nothing has been signed. It was noted that focusing on his family will be a major piece of the decision, no matter what his next move is.

McIntyre has drawn a lot of praise from fans for his recent run on WWE programming and his social media antics. He is set to challenge Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship at WWE WrestleMania 40.

WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
