Today’s game between AC Milan and Juventus will certainly be a real test of how much Sandro Tonali has developed from last season.

According to Tuttosport (via PianetaMilan), the Rossoneri are set to field the Italian alongside Franck Kessie rather than playing Ismael Bennacer, which in itself is a sign of how confidence in him continues to grow.

He racked up 37 appearances in the 2020-21 season and had fluctuating performances, but the club had no doubts about signing him permanently from Brescia and Tonali himself lowered his salary to help push the operation through.

Tonali showed off two sumptuous performances against Cagliari (in which he also scored his first goal for the club) and Lazio, and he played 20 minutes in an intense environment at Anfield because he was recovering from a gastroenteritis.

The latest test comes tonight in Juventus-Milan at the Allianz Stadium and his ambition is to shine once again.
