Harry Kane is reportedly on the verge of becoming a Manchester City player. That’s according to an exclusive report published by The Sun.

Kane is thought to have been given the go-ahead by Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy to sign for another Premier League club, with Spurs set to bank £160M.

Upon moving to the Etihad, or so the report claims, Kane will be paid an eye-watering £400K-a-week, which works out as £20.8M-a-year, before tax.

As per the numbers provided by SPORTbible, that’ll make Kane the best-paid player in the Premier League, but not by a great deal.

You probably won’t be surprised to hear that in second place is another man playing for cash-rich Man City.

Here’s the top ten in full, with the information provided by SPORTbible.

10.) Anthony Martial, Man United, £250K-a-week
9.) Timo Werner, Chelsea, £270K-a-week
8.) Paul Pogba, Man United, £290K-a-week
7.) Raheem Sterling, Man City, £300K-a-week
6.) Kai Havertz, Chelsea, £310K-a-week
4.) Jadon Sancho, Man United, £350K-a-week
4.) Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Arsenal, £350K-a-week
3.) David De Gea, Man United, £375K-a-week
2.) Kevin De Bruyne, Man City, £385K-a-week
1.) Harry Kane, Man City, £400K-a-week (pending confirmation)

There is a quite obscene amount of money in England’s top tier, but Liverpool don’t appear keen on spending a great deal of theirs, credit to them.

Tottenham are also another club who have tightened their belts on the wage front, with the Manchester clubs clearly willing to pay players whatever’s necessary.

Chelsea fans will be hoping for better from their top earners, Kai Havertz and Timo Werner, after their performances last campaign…
