Tottenham Hotspur remain keen on signing Mohamed Amoura from Union SG at the end of the season.

According to a report from WalFoot, Tottenham ‘hold pole position’ in the race to sign the 23-year-old attacker, but they will face competition from London rivals West Ham United. The Hammers have reportedly intensified their pursuit of the Algerian attacker and they have doubled their efforts to beat Tottenham to his signature.

Tottenham need to bring in a reliable goalscorer and the Algerian should prove to be a quality long-term investment. He has 22 goals and six assists in all competitions. He could prove to be the ideal long-term replacement for Harry Kane.

Tottenham chose not to replace the England international at the start of the season and they have struggled in the absence of reliable goalscorer. Signing a reliable centre forward should be one of the top priorities heading into the summer transfer window and the 23-year-old could solve their goalscoring problems.

Amoura could fancy Spurs move

The Algerian will be tempted to join a big club in the summer and the opportunity to play for Tottenham can be hard to turn down. They are pushing for Champions League qualification and Amoura will look to make his mark in European football with them. Tottenham’s attacking system could be a good fit for the 23-year-old and it could help him express himself in the Premier League league and in Europe.

The Algerian is highly rated across Europe and he has a big future ahead of him. He could develop into a key player for the North London club with the right guidance. Tottenham certainly have the resources and the pull to beat West Ham to his signature this summer and it remains to be seen how the situation unfolds.
