Tottenham Hotspur have decided to replace Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg at the end of the season.

The 28-year-old Denmark international is no longer a key player for the North London club, and they are hoping to sell him permanently in the summer.

According to a report from Turkish publication TV100, Tottenham has chosen to discard the 28-year-old midfielder and they have already identified his replacement. They are keen on the Fenerbahce midfielder Ismail Yuksek.

The Premier League side will have to pay €20 million to sign the midfielder.

The 25-year-old defensive midfielder has done quite well in Turkey, and he has the physicality and technical attributes to adapt to the Premier League. He could prove to be a quality alternative to Hojbjerg and his arrival will add more depth and quality to the Tottenham midfield.

Currently, Tottenham have Yves Bissouma as the only reliable defensive midfielder at the club. They need more alternatives in that department. Yuksek is an expert at protecting the central defence and breaking up opposition attacks. He has one goal and five assists to his name across all competitions this season and he will help out creatively as well.

The opportunity to move to the Premier League will be an exciting one for the Turkish midfielder, and he will look to prove himself in England, if the move to Tottenham goes through.

The reported asking price seems reasonable for a player of his experience and quality. It will be interesting to see if Tottenham are prepared to pay up.
