Tottenham Hotspur’s scouting efforts are in full swing as they prepare for the upcoming summer transfer window.

According to the Turkish news outlet Sabah, Spurs have been accidentally left impressed by Galatasaray winger Baris Alper Yilmaz and have included him on their ‘transfer list’ for the summer.

Spurs dispatched scouts to Turkey with a primary focus on monitoring the performances of midfielder Tanguy Ndombele, currently on loan at Galatasaray until the season’s end.

However, during their evaluation of Ndombele, Tottenham’s representatives couldn’t help but notice the promising talent of the young winger and have ‘joined the race’ to sign him.

Yilmaz is presently under contract with the Super Lig club until June 2027 and is valued at approximately €7.5 million as per Transfermarkt.

However, securing his services may prove costly for Tottenham, as Galatasaray are reportedly demanding a fee exceeding €20 million for the 23-year-old.

Despite his young age, Yilmaz has already made a significant impact this season, featuring in 38 matches across all competitions, scoring four goals and assisting another five.

While primarily deployed as a right-winger, Yilmaz has demonstrated versatility by playing in various positions. According to positional data on Transfermarkt, he has been utilized as a left-winger seven times, as a left-back on seven occasions, as a right-back thrice, and as a striker twice.

TBH Says:

Tottenham’s extensive scout network continues to expand, reflecting the club’s commitment to identifying talent globally.

Baris Alper Yilmaz is just one of the many promising prospects under consideration by Spurs as they plan for the future.
