Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keen on the Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi.

The 23-year-old has established himself as a reliable Premier League defender and his performances have attracted the attention of Tottenham. A report from TEAMtalk claims that the North London outfit are keen on signing the player and he is valued at £50 million.

It will be interesting to see if Tottenham are prepared to pay that kind of money for the young defender. The 23-year-old is only going to get better with an experience. He could develop into a key player for Tottenham. Although the £50 million asking price might seem like a premium right now, he has the ability to justify the investment.

The report from TEAMtalk claims that Arsenal and Liverpool are keen on the player as well. It remains to be seen whether Tottenham can beat the competition from their Premier League rivals and sign the defender.

It is no secret that Spurs need to bring in another central defender to complete their defensive unit and he would be ideal. They have Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven and Radu Dragusin as the only reliable central defenders at the club right now. Tottenham will be hoping to do well across multiple competitions in the coming seasons and they need adequate depth in the squad. They must look to add another reliable central defender to the side.

Meanwhile, Guehi will want to compete at the highest level and opportunity to join Tottenham could be quite attractive for him. The North London outfit are currently pushing for Champions League qualification and they will be an attractive destination for most players.
