Tottenham has made a U-turn and is set to hold talks with former Wolves manager, Nuno Espirito Santo and possibly making him their next boss.

The Lilywhites have been on the lookout for a new manager since Ryan Mason finished his stint as the interim boss.

He had replaced Jose Mourinho just before the Carabao Cup final against Manchester City.

He was only there for the short term with the club looking to name a new permanent manager before next season starts.

They have reached a dead end in their pursuit of several targets including Brendan Rodgers and Antonio Conte.

One man whom they were linked to at the start of their search was Santo, but they quickly moved on to other targets and appeared as though he wasn’t a part of their plans.

However, it has now been revealed by Football Insider that they have made a U-turn and will hold talks with him over their vacant managerial position.

The Portuguese boss helped Wolves to gain promotion to the Premier League in 2018 and led them to an impressive finish in their first campaign back which saw them play in Europe.

They didn’t make the European places last season but he remains one of the highest-rated managers around Europe.
