Tanguy Ndombele and Davinson Sanchez have both joined Turkish champions Galatasaray from Tottenham Hotspur.

France midfielder Ndombele, 26, has initially signed for Galatasaray on loan until the end of the season in a deal that includes a £12.8 million option to buy.

Meanwhile, Colombia center-back Sanchez, 27, has moved to Istanbul on a permanent transfer with Spurs receiving a fee of £8.1m.

Sanchez and Ndombele both broke the Spurs transfer record when they moved to London.

A £42m fee saw Sanchez become Tottenham's record signing when he arrived from Ajax in August 2017.

Ndombele then claimed that record from Sanchez in July 2019 when he joined from Lyon in a £63m deal.

Sanchez played in 207 first-team games for Spurs. His last appearance for the club was in an EFL Cup clash with Fulham last month. Sanchez failed to convert a spot-kick in a penalty shootout as Spurs were knocked out at Craven Cottage.

Ndombele featured 91 times during his Spurs career, scoring 10 goals.

But his last Tottenham outing came way back in January 2022, shortly before he was loaned back to former club Lyon for four months.

Ndombele then spent last season on loan at Napoli. He was part of a squad that won the Serie A title, but he only started eight league games for the Italian champions.

Galatasaray were recently drawn in Group A in the UEFA Champions League, where they will compete against Bayern Munich, Manchester United and Copenhagen.
