Tottenham Hotspur are looking to raise £100 million by sanctioning the departure of six first-team players.

Ange Postecoglou wants to ensure he has a team strong enough to compete for the league title next season. As a result, they are expected to make major moves in the upcoming transfer window.

According to a report by Fichajes, Spurs are looking to offload as many as six first-team players who could help them raise £100 million.

Tottenham are planning to wield the axe to raise funds that could help reinforce their squad as well as make room for new signings. Emerson Royal, Joe Rodon, Sergio Reguilon, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Giovani Lo Celso and Bryan Gil are the six stars who could be on their way out in the summer.

Rodon could help raise a significant amount as the player has had an impressive loan spell at Leeds United which has attracted a lot of interest in his services.

Reguilon’s loan move to Manchester United ended in the winter but he then ended up joining Brentford and has managed to impress people at the club. While the Bees would love to sign him permanently, his wages are a major hurdle for them.

Emerson Royal, Hojbjerg and Gil haven’t had enough first-team minutes under Postecoglou. Gil seeks regular first-team action or a permanent switch elsewhere, he has no intentions of going out on loan again.

Meanwhile, Royal and Hojbjerg are looking to make a permanent switch in the summer in search of regular first-team action. The Danish international has been linked with Spanish giants Atlético Madrid.

Giovani Lo Celso is also expected to be on the move in the summer. He has had less than 600 minutes of first-team action at Spurs and he could return to his former club Real Betis who are keen on having him at their disposal.

The departure of these six stars could raise significant funds that could be used to bolster Postecoglou’s squad and give him the needed firepower to compete for major titles.
