Spanish international Bryan Gil is open to leaving Tottenham amidst interest from Feyenoord.

After coming up the ranks and making a name for himself at Sevilla, Gil joined Tottenham Hotspur in the summer of 2021. The move hasn’t really worked out in his favour as the 23-year-old has failed to establish himself in their first team. According to a report by 1908.nl, Gil is ready to part ways with Spurs in the summer if an interested club offers an ‘ambitious’ project.

The North London club offered Erik Lamela plus €25 million to land the Spanish international at the club. Since making the move, the 23-year-old right-winger has only featured in 42 matches for their first team. Gil has failed to break into Ange Postecoglou’s plans as well. While he has been used in 11 matches this term, he has been on the pitch for less than 250 minutes.

His contract with Spurs might run until the summer of 2026 but a move away from the club in the upcoming transfer window is a real possibility and Feyenoord are the ones keen on signing the 23-year-old.

The Dutch club feel Gil could be an important player for them. He could make a difference to their attack and his ability to feature on both flanks and as an attacking midfielder will give them a lot of options. They are pushing to sign him on a permanent basis and submitted an opening bid at the start of April worth under €10 million (add-ons not included). The offer has been increased slightly with their recent attempt and the deal is now in a very important stage.

While the Dutch club are pushing hard to land him, the 23-year-old hasn’t decided his future yet. Feyenoord need to convince him about their project as the player is only interested in a permanent move if the new club has an exciting project to offer.
