Tottenham Hotspur will have to battle it out with West Ham United and Arsenal for the services of Santiago Gimenez.

Ange Postecoglou and his team will be focused on reinforcing multiple positions on the pitch but their priority will be to bring in a new number nine. They are looking for a proven goal scorer and have their eyes on Feyenoord striker Santiago Gimenez.

Spurs are not the only club interested in his services, they are all set to face competition from rivals West Ham and Arsenal as per a report by Football Insider. Tottenham decided against signing a new number nine last summer after the departure of their record goal scorer Harry Kane. But, they are expected to push hard for a striker this time out.

Despite having done a great job without Kane, the Australian boss feels the need for an out-and-out striker. They are interested in the services of Gimenez who has been in sensation form this season.

The 23-year-old Mexican striker has scored 24 goals and also has seven assists in his 40 outings.

While Spurs are keen on his signature, they will face competition from West Ham as well as Arsenal.

The Hammers have been monitoring Gimenez for a while now and are looking to make a move in the summer. Michail Antonio hasn’t been able to produce the results and they feel a change is needed.

Meanwhile, Mikel Arteta is not happy with the output of his strikers at Arsenal. He wants a new number nine who is more clinical in front of goal and the Mexican international is one of the names on their radar. With Arsenal and West Ham in the mix, it will be interesting to see if Tottenham can come out on top in the race for the 23-year-old’s signatures.
