Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Pierre Emile-Hojbjerg has been linked with a move away from the club at the end of the season.

The Denmark international has fallen down the pecking order at the North London club and he needs to leave in order to play more often. A report from the Italian publication Il Bianconero claims that his exit in the summer is ‘certain’ if ‘Postecoglou stays’ at the club.

The 28-year-old has not had too many starts under the Australian manager this season. He has started just six matches in the Premier League and a player of his quality deserves to play more often.

It is evident that he is not a good fit for the Australian’s style of play and therefore it would be ideal for him to move on. Italian giants Juventus are keen on the player, but any potential move will depend on the asking price.

Hojbjerg has proven himself in the Premier League over the years and he was a key player for Tottenham under the previous manager, Antonio Conte. There is no doubt that he is good enough to play for several top clubs and it remains to be seen where he ends up.

The midfielder is at the peak of his career right now and he cannot afford it on the bench every week. Spurs should look to cash in on the player during the summer transfer window and invest in someone who is better suited to their style of play.
